for 2026 GRANT
The Ann-Margret Lindell Grant awards the largest grant in Sweden today to young artists working with printmaking techniques. In 2026, the foundation will award 300,000 Swedish crowns, distributed to, at most, three recipients. The foundation is administered by Grafikens Hus.
THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS 11 SEPTEMBER 2026 AT 1:00 PM
Application:
Apply with a single combined PDF-file (max 20mb)
1. A maximum of five (5) artworks.
2. Apply in Swedish or English using the application form:
- State your year of birth in your application.
- Write the year, size, techniques, title and a short description of each work (300 characters max per work). Any videos or audio material, three (3) pieces max. can instead be included as links.
- Description of yourself and your artistic practice (2000 characters max).

The grant recipients for 2026 are required to report how the grant have been used, in accordance with the information provided by the Ann-Margret Lindell Grant.
Who can apply?
If you work with printmaking as part of your artistry and were born in 1986 or later, you can apply for the grant. There are no requirements regarding educational or other formal credentials. You must be active in Sweden.
Selection criteria
In order to be considered for the grant, printmaking techniques of some kind must play a central role in your art practice. Today, printmaking is a field of incredible breadth, including everything from graphic prints and artists’ books to 3D graphics and monumental graphics for house façades. All graphic techniques are valued equally, alongside all conceivable work processes where some type of graphic technique is an essential aspect. The jury’s assessment will be made exclusively on the basis of the work samples you submit and the written document in which you describe your work process.
This year’s jury consists of two external jury members, Annika Gunnarsson, PhD in Art History and curator for Drawings and Prints at Moderna Museet, artist Maria Erikson, and one member from the foundation’s artistic board, artist Lina Nordenström.

The artistic board as a whole is comprised of Lina Nordenström, artist, from the print studio Grafikverkstan Godsmagasinet in Uttersberg, Nina Beckmann, the director of Grafikens Hus, and artists Shabnam Faraee and Timothy Crisp (chair).
